In the early nineties he used TR-808 for most of his strikes. In the mid to late 2000s he used TR-909.

Too Short has started publishing collaborative projects, including projects with Scarface, The Notorious B.I.G., Pimp C. and Tupac Shakur. One of his most amazing tracks at the time was The World Is Filled… that you can listen to on Notorious B.I.G. Life After Death.

Too Short moved to Atlanta in 1994, but didn’t start working with a more diverse group of southern talent until 2000, when he worked with Lil John. Too Short withdrew completely in 1999 with his project Can’t Stay Away.

On his return he released several new albums in the following years. Most of these new albums have the sound of Dirty South of Crank, because he is more familiar with southern rap.

Although he adopted this new style of rap, he never allowed his funk or sexually explicit style. Other albums released between 2000 and 2003 are You Nasty (2000), Chase the Cat (2001), What’s My Favorite Word? married to the game in 2002 and 2003.

Each album scored a pretty good position in the charts of the Billboard 200’s top 71 hits, but none of them did as well as his previous hits of the 90’s, which made it into the top 10 a couple of times.

In 2004, the popular video game Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas showed off their ghetto single from the ’90s. The song was broadcast on a hip-hop radio station on the west coast, called Radio Los Santos.

In 2013 it was reported that Too Short will be working with Lady Gaga on the song Jewels n’ Drugs for her new album Artpop. The other artists who performed the song were Twista and TI.

In 2015 Tavion Million performed the Oakland and Brookfield Dance. A year later, in 2016, Too Short appeared on Dumbfoundead Cochino from their studio album We Might Die. Too Short has announced that he will release his 20th and final album, The Pimp Tape, at the end of 2018.
